Betting for the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix

2009 Formula One Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix

The third last leg of this year’s Formula One season is set to take place with the upcoming Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, Japan.

The Suzuka race track is a relatively straightforward circuit with a few interesting features well known to fans of F1 racing. Sector One hosts a straight length of track before First Curve and the zigzagging, aptly-named ‘S’ Curves. Sector Three overlaps a piece of Sector Two’s track from above and holds the course’s speed trap, set immediately prior to the Casio Triangle marker.

Drivers will cover 53 laps of 5.807 kilometres each for a total distance of 307.573 kilometres. The best time established at the Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix was recorded by K. Raikkonen in his 2005 season.

Drivers will head to Japan for the weekend of October 2nd to compete in one of the final placing events in the 2009 F1 season. Friday October 2nd will hold a full day of practices (Practice One from 10.00-11.30am and Practice Two from 2.00-3.30pm) before one more warm-up chance is provided on Saturday from 11am until noon. Qualifications take place on Saturday the 3rd as well, beginning at 2.00pm and setting the stage for the race proper which kicks off on Sunday October 4th at 2.00pm.
