PKR Announces Qualifiers for Dublin Leg of World Poker Tour
PKR.com is ready to give its members a shot at taking their poker skills to the next level at one of next year’s biggest real-world tournaments through a new series of online qualifiers from the massive site. These upcoming games are aimed at rewarding talented players with a shot at competing in the World Poker Tour (WPT) stop in Dublin, Ireland.
While a firm date for the beginning of the promotion has yet to be set, PKR.com has already started to provide details regarding its WPT Ireland qualifiers. The World Poker Tour has joined with PKR.com as a promotional sponsor and now PKR is able to pass on several great prizes to its members as a result of the deal. Awards for the WPT Ireland qualifiers will include invitations to special parties and games at the event, free buy-in (a fee that is currently set at €2,500) and more. Once skilled PKR.com members have made it to Ireland, they’ll also enjoy the opportunity to compete for a seat at the WPT World Championships (valued at $25,500!).
World Poker Tour Ireland will take place from 5th to 8th January, 2011 at Dublin, Ireland’s City West Hotel and mark the first time that the WPT has visited the region. Because of its close proximity to the larger event, the Irish Poker Championships have been made a part of the larger WPT festivities and will now be held in Dublin rather than their former, Galway home.
